HR Works Participates in 2018 United Way Day of Caring

United Way of Greater Rochester is celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2018 by honoring our past and looking toward our future. George Eastman and local leaders created what we know today as United Way of Greater Rochester. In 1918, what was then our community’s War Chest brought together many different agencies that were doing similar work.  Today, United Way addresses critical challenges by connecting local people in need with evidence-based programs, strategic funding investments, community initiatives, volunteer support and community leadership to direct resources and solve problems.

HR Works has participated in United Way’s annual Day of Caring for several years. This year, a group of HR Works employees volunteered at Heritage Christian Services’ Landsdowne Lane home. We are proud of everyone who spent the day mulching, weeding, window cleaning, and helping with basement and garage clean-up.

These efforts were coordinated through the HR Works Community Works Program, a volunteer program developed and run by HR Works employees as a way for colleagues to share and give back to charities within the surrounding community. Each year, HR Works and its employees donate countless hours through Community Works events.
