In Memory of Our Dear Co-Worker & Friend, Mary Stuart

As the Director of Talent Acquisition for HR Works for 14 years, Mary touched the lives of so many people. There could not have been a better person to assess talent and represent HR Works in the most professional, courteous and friendly way.  

She was the consummate professional and networker. She got true pleasure and energy out of connecting with people and especially connecting people with job opportunities.  So many HR professionals in the Upstate New York area knew Mary and many of them had their careers positively impacted by her.  She was great at identifying strengths and areas of development of individuals and coached countless HR professionals over the years.  Mary had a knack for finding just the right candidate.

So many employees at HR Works credit her with such a positive first impression of the company and onboarding experience which ultimately helped the company grow to the point we are at today with top talent and retention.  She was the perfect person to represent HR Works at events and help build our reputation in the community. 

The HR Works family will always remember Mary’s class, spirit, and courage. It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to our dear friend.

So many people have reached out in recent days to express their thanks for the impact she had on their careers. Our thoughts are with Mary’s family, and everyone who was fortunate enough to have crossed paths with her. In honor of Mary, HR Works will be making a contribution to the Sodus Bay Junior Sailing Association (SBJSA), an organization close to her heart.
