Effective August 1, 2025, Arkansas Act 655 requires employers with 50 or more full-time equivalent employees to display a new workplace poster providing information about veterans’ benefits and services. Notably, the Act does not define an “equivalent” full-time employee.
The Arkansas Department of Labor and Licensing in coordination with the Arkansas Department of Veterans Affairs is responsible for developing the official poster. The poster must be displayed in a prominent and accessible location in the workplace.
The required content will include information on available services and resources such as mental health and substance abuse treatment, educational and workforce training programs, tax benefits, unemployment eligibility, legal assistance, and the Veterans Crisis Line.
Next Steps for Employers
Covered employers should download the official poster from the Arkansas Department of Labor and Licensing website and post it alongside other required state and federal labor law notices. Human resource teams should also review workplace notice procedures to ensure compliance with the new requirement.
