E-Verify NextGen May Bring Big Changes to E-Verify

E-Verify NextGen is a new version of the E-Verify program that is currently under development. The new system is designed to be more efficient, user-friendly, and secure than the current system.

One of the key features of E-Verify NextGen is that it will allow employees to create their own account and submit their own information to E-Verify. This will reduce the burden on employers and make it easier for employees to verify their employment eligibility.

E-Verify NextGen will also use innovative technologies to improve the accuracy and security of the system. For example, the new system will use facial recognition technology to verify the identity of employees.

The United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) is currently testing E-Verify NextGen with a select group of employers and employees. The new system is scheduled to be released to all employers and employees in 2024.
