The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) announced this week that the opening of the EEO-1 online filing system has been postponed until March 2019. As a result, the deadline to submit EEO-1 reports will be extended to May 31, 2019. EEOC is delayed in its annual report collection activities due to the partial government shutdown. Employers will receive their annual EEO-1 reminder letter with account details and instructions in the upcoming weeks.
Employers with 100 or more employees, as well as government contractors/subcontractors with 50 or more employees and a contract valued at $50,000 or more, are required to file the EEO-1 report annually. HR Works offers EEO-1 data cleansing, report preparation, and online filing of reports as a service to clients meeting the filing requirements.
Current affirmative action clients may contact their project manager with questions about EEO-1 filing. Virtual HR Helpline clients may call (585) 381-8340 x1 with questions. For other inquiries, please call 877-219-9062.
