OSHA is not currently accepting electronic submissions of the information from 2016 Forms 300A. Instead, the agency has proposed delaying the July 1, 2017 enforcement of the new rule to December 1, 2017, and announced that it will launch an electronic data collection system by which employers can comply with the rule by August 1, 2017. Under the new rule, the following entities were required to make electronic submissions:
- Organizations with 250 or more employees in industries covered by OSHA’s recordkeeping requirements.
- Organizations with 20-249 employees in certain high-risk industries.
Further details and requirements are contained in the final rule. Additional resources, such as a fact sheet and FAQs, are available by clicking here.
