Massachusetts’ First Workforce Data Reporting Deadline Approaching February 3, 2025

On July 31, 2024, Massachusetts passed Chapter 141 of the Acts of 2024, requiring private employers with 100 or more employees in Massachusetts to submit an annual EEO data report to the state for aggregated public reporting.

A recent FAQ released by the Massachusetts Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development (EOLWD) confirms that with February 1 falling on a Saturday, this year’s reports will be accepted until Monday, February 3.

Reports can be uploaded in PDF, JPEG, or PNG format on the Massachusetts Secretary of State website.

Next Steps

Employers should begin by determining whether they meet the filing threshold of 100 Massachusetts employees.

Those who are required to file should then gather the corresponding Massachusetts EEO-1 reports from their most recent filing, which is dated 2023 at the top of each report.

Ensure the files are labeled in accordance with the instructions on the EEO Wage and Workforce Data Reports webpage and then upload the reports no later than February 3, 2025.
