The Hospitality Industry has different wage and hour rules than other industries in New York State. One of those differences is the requirement that the Pay Rate Notice be given to an employee anytime there is a pay change, including pay increases. This would include the notice being given to employee’s who receive the NY minimum wage when there is an automatic increase at the end of the year due to the increase in the NY minimum wage rate.
