On September 13, 2023, the New York State Department of Labor (DOL) published proposed regulations for the New York Wage Transparency Law. The proposed regulations provide additional guidance on the requirements of the law, which took effect on September 17, 2023.

Employers are encouraged to review the proposed regulations in their entirety as they contain additional relevant information for complying with the law, including illustrative examples of “good faith actions.”
