Lisa M. Berg

Executive Advisor, HR Total Solutions

Lisa has played an integral role HR Works’ growth, helping our company grow from fewer than 30 employees to where we are today, working in virtually every department, and building our HR Technology division from the ground up.

She has a long history of human resources experience across a variety of specialized areas including HR Information Systems, recruitment, affirmative action/Equal Employment Opportunity compliance, compensation, and total compensation statements.

Today, Lisa oversees HR Works’ Total Solutions division, providing clients with a centralized structure for all their HR needs.  She works with our HR Technology, HR Strategic Services, and Benefits and Leave Administration teams to ensure quality service and client satisfaction.

Lisa is part of the National Human Resources Association, where she has volunteered as a mentor and guest speaker. Lisa has a B.A. in psychology and sociology from the State University of New York at Potsdam. She completed M.S. coursework at the State University of New York at Brockport and maintains her PHR and SHRM-CP certifications. Lisa is also an ADP Certified HR Specialist and an UltiPro Certified Consultant.

Lisa focuses on achieving a work-life balance that allows her to be well-rounded, positive, nurturing, active, healthy, and fun for her family. She enjoys travel, hiking and cooking with her family.

For more than 30 years, Lisa has devoted time supporting her community focusing her efforts on growing healthy families and children.  She has volunteered at a community mediation center, crisis hotline, and women’s shelter, served as a MOPS group leader for working moms and as a PTSA chairperson/member for her local schools.

Guiding principle: An old saying: “If the first thing you do in the morning is eat a live frog, you can go through the rest of the day knowing the worst is behind you.” Lisa doesn’t believe in wasting a perfectly good day, so she gets things done early in the morning, which provides her with a positive mindset and sense of accomplishment all day long.
